I am having beta thalassemia minor and I always felt tired and shortness of breath and fever on exertion and tired all the time and shortness of breath every time and my hb always falls down to 8 gm. Can you please tell me the treatment as I am 27 year old girl and unmarried.

It is usual with Thallassaemmia minor. Take Vit D3 and Vit B12. Be positive. Slight increase of HB by controlled iron drip.

lybrate-user. I can relate to your tiredness with the hemoglobin of 8 g.dL. However it is likely that you will need to correct /investigate additional causes for your anaemia as it appears unlikley to be solely related to your thal trait. Hope this helps.
