Hi lybrate-user, I will advise you to discuss with your dermatologist if you can use EMLA cream. This creamis a local skin anesthetic that is applied 1 hour prior to Laser Hair Removal Treatment but don't apply it before 1 3/4 hr. So discuss with your dermatologist because he better knows your skin sensitivity. If you can avoid numbing cream that would be much better because that way youf treatment would be much effective. There are some contraindications for using EMLA Cream if: You are allergic to any ingredient in EMLA Cream or to other similar medicines or If you have the blood disorder Methemoglobinemia Thanks.

Make sure your technician does icing before and after session. Chill the area with ice and immediately give laser shots. Also, if you have coarse hair, you don't need very high energy. Keep the laser fluence low.
