Hi, I am 27 years old female with height say 5 ft 2 inches and presently weighing 43.5 kgs. I have been trying to gain weight since long and recently have changed my diet. My daily diet includes: Early morning: hand full of dry fruits Morning: Breakfast includes sandwich with cheese, paneer/ peanut butter and bread or cereals and 1 egg. Snack around 11 am: Fruit (banana, pomegranate/strawberry), yoghurt and milk as smoothie Lunch: Rice, salad, pulses and some vegetables Snack at 4 pm: any 1 type of fruit Snack at 6: 30 pm: depends, may be sandwich or bhel or anything that is available Dinner: same as lunch except I replace chapatis (3) for rice. Please suggest if I need to modify the above chart or do anything extra for gaining weight. Thanks.

You need to have energy dense foods. Include milk products like butter, ghee. Have more bananas (2-3), potatoes and sweet potatoes every day. Also get you thyroid levels checked. Sometimes overactive thyroids do not allow to put weight.
