I have been on anxiety drug for last 3 months with drug named (d-venizep 50 mg) for my imbalance problem. Although it had given me relief it still gives blurry vision in the evenings. As result of this I have been recommended to take nexito plus to see if that clears blurry vision which I have started taking for last 5 days. However I want to completely stop all the anxiety drugs and observe my situation has improved and will help me regain my original situation. My eye tests have been normal. Please advise whether its safe to stop all the anxiety drugs to see if the problem has been resolved and if so when can I stop it. I am told that I should not stop these medicines abruptly as it is dangerous.

Hello. I would strongly advise AGAINST ABRUPTLY stopping the medications. The alteration of these medications is best left in the hands of an experienced psychiatrist, and preferably the one who you are already consulting (as he/she) is well versed with your history. There is a high chance that if you suddenly stop these medicines then there may be a withdrawal or rebound anxiety effect. Kindly seek consult with your psychiatrist or seek a second opinion.
