I am having male pattern baldness because of dht so I was advised to use minoxidil and finasteride so I want to know does finasteride will have much side effects on my body leading to sexual changes should I use it if not please prefer me some other dht blocker with less side effects and with same potency.

Finasterride in the dose prescribed for MPB does tha even many side effects and it also FDA approved for the same. There are many studies where pts are using finasteride for Long time without any side effects. Although in very few pt it can cause reduction of libido but that in very few only. So my advise is that you should take it and if you feel any such side effect then you can consult to the treating physician because if it occurs it?s totally reversible after stopping the drug. There is nothing permanent effect. And also remember try to take it early in the morning because it?s the time when your hormone levels are at peak.
