I am a man of 65 years. Suffering with diabetes type 2 since the year 2000. But last 7/8 months I am feeling that my penis is not getting hard. Please advise

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Long standing diabetes does affect microvasculature of many vital organs like retina, kidneys and penile muscle. This leads to erectile dysfunction. ED is more often seen if diabetes is uncontrolled, however, in persons with good control of blood glucose problem of ED does occur. First foremost is to achieve a strict blood glucose control with FBG < 100 mg PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. Then if necessary drugs like PDE-V inhibitors can be used as and when needed. Thanks.
