Hi doctor, My wife is trying to get pregnant. She has done USG scan which is normal. I am sharing the semen analysis report of mine. Kindly interpret and tell whether the parameters are normal. Semen analysis: Abstinence period- 5 days PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: Volume- 2 ml Colour- Greyish white Viscosity- Normal Liquefaction time- 30 minutes CHEMICAL examination: pH- 8.5 Fructose- Positive MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION: Aggregation seen- Nil Agglutination seen- Nil SPERM MOTILITY: Total motility- 40% Progressive motility-30% Non-progressive motility-10% immobility-60% Sperm concentration: (sperm count)- 12mill/ml Sperm Morphology: Normal forms-60% Abnormal forms-40%   Abnormal heads-20%   Abnormal mid-pieces-15%   Abnormal principal pieces-05%   Excess Residual Cytoplasm- Occasional Pus cells- 10-12 Epithelial cells- Nil Red Blood Cells- Absent Organisms-Absent.

Report are normal but not sufficient. You need tubal patency test n follicular monitoring. You need to use fertile time of cycle for relation.
