Nursing is a supply & demand process. Milk is produced as your baby nurses, and the amount that she/he nurses lets your body know how much milk is required. And tries to produce sufficient amount accordingly, to improve milk quantity just take a well balanced diet mainly proteins including egg, dairy products, chicken, fish etc. Baby sucking is the impulse which helps milk let down, giving a warm compress over breast can also open up the ducts and let milk pass freely. You can take medications like perinorm etc to increase milk production.
