I am taking glycomet gp1 pills from last three months for diabetes. At present my sugar levels are in control. Can I stop using my pills. I am also following diet and regular exercise.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. T2 diabetes once diagnosed can only be controlled with appropriate treatment, diet and regular exercise. There is no cure. So if you stop treatment then blood glucose levels will go up again. Ideally when in control fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, Pp 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. Thanks.
