Can Re root canal done bey the same dentist or else need to visit any Endodontist. I was worried too much about the abscess, because I have a history of leukemia. Is the abscess may be because of any infection? Do I need to do any blood test. My sugar levels are normal.

Dear Lybrate user, your treating dentist, a general dentist or endodontist first must obtain a consent from your doctor before starting the treatment. The dentist must also mention all the medicines that you'll need during your treatment. We have treated a leukemia survivor at our clinic and the procedure is absolutely safe which was done following strict sterilization protocol to avoid any kind of new infection. The abscess might be a result of long standing decayed tooth. No need to worry. Start the treatment by simultaneously consulting your dentist and doctor with whom you consult for leukemia. Take care.
