Hi, You have nail infection (paronychia) due to which swelling and pain occurs. Drain out all the pus and cover the wound with a bandaid after applying iodine ointment. Give hot water fomentation. Take tab. Yogaraja guggulu 1 tab 3 times a day with hot water which reduces the pain.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. On squeezing if pus has come out means there infection surrounding the nail (paronychia). This needs to be drained, cleaned and dressed. Till the pus is completely removed. Plus there is a need for a suitable antibiotic for at least 6 to 7 days, so that infection is eliminated. Thanks.
