Hey, I've this teeth yellowing problem for a very long, like 3-4 years, I brush my teeth regularly but I see no effect plus this problem is increasing. Please suggest something to get rid of it. I use different brand toothpastes as I change em in 3-4 months, currently it's massage for 2 months now. Thanks Cheers.

Dear Lybrate user, the yellowing of teeth may be due to external stains and plaque deposits. Inherent tooth color cannot be changed permanently but if you're observing that it's getting more yellow with time, you should consult a dentist for scaling and polishing/ professional cleaning. Coffee and tea stains also cause yellowing especially if you consume these without milk. As far as I'm aware the quality of water in Chandigarh is not that bad that could lead to this discoloration. Brush twice daily and consult your dentist.
