Sir scaling is to be done on a regular basis once a year. You also clean teeth but a dentist adds a professional touch and also cleans those areas where your toothbrush cannot reach.

Things you eat or drink that can leave a mark on your hands or clothes can also stain your choppers. That's why it's a good idea to brush or rinse your mouth after you've enjoyed them. Stain-makers to watch out for include: Coffee or tea Soda Red and white wine Grape or cranberry juice Blueberries Beets Soy sauce Tomato sauce Ways to Keep Your Teeth Bright Drink with a straw. This can help keep stains away when you drink soda, juice, or iced coffee or tea. The liquid won't get near the visible front surfaces of your teeth. Hi lybrate-user Scaling and cleaning need to be done every 6 months and then you need to follow doctor's instructions otherwise they will get stained again. Rinse your mouth after drinking tea or coffee. The black lining you see is actually the root of your teeth. Because your gums have recessed you can see this. Here are the raesons: – Periodontal (gum) disease: This is a frequent cause for gum recession. When bacteria accumulate between the teeth and gum line, diseased gums loosen their grip on teeth. As it progresses, gum tissues and supporting bone for teeth can be damaged and even lead to tooth loss. – Over-zealous brushing: Brushing your teeth in a “scrubbing” motion and using a hard bristle tooth brush can wear down enamel on teeth as well as gum tissues. Also, using abrasive substances to brush, such as baking soda, are too gritty and can cause damage. – Poor oral hygiene: Without adequate brushing and flossing, oral bacteria accumulate. The buildup results in plaque, which hardens into calculus. This is a cement-like substance that can only be removed by a dental professional. These massive colonies of bacteria thrive and multiply as they eat away at gum tissues. – Smoking: The chemicals in tobacco are drying to oral tissues. When a mouth is dry, saliva is less effective at washing bacteria out of the mouth. Oral dryness creates an ideal environment for plaque. Oral bacteria destroy gum tissues, which can lead to gum recession. – Grinding and clenching: When you clench or grind your teeth during sleep, this places such force that the teeth can tilt out of their proper positions. As clenching and grinding continue, the gums start to pull away from the teeth. – Hormonal changes: Puberty, pregnancy and menopause can cause female hormone levels to change. These fluctuations can cause gums to be sensitive and more susceptible to recession. – Crooked teeth: When teeth are not properly aligned, it causes additional force in biting, chewing and even during sleep. This can strain jaw joints, gums and supporting bone. This often leads to gum recession.

Need to visit nearby dentist, stains needs to be removed only by cleaning, and after cleaning you have to maintain your oral hygiene by brushing twice a day and rinsing mouth when ever it is necessary, if not followed then it will again result in same problem and again same treatment will be required. Changing tooth pastes or using herbal products cannot help to that extent, necessary treatment has to be done.
