Yesterday night during intercourse contraceptive (condom) came off. My wife has already taken unwanted 72 this week on last Saturday. Can she take another one? What other options to prevent the pregnancy?

If you happen to have sex on regular basis and don't want the risk of even accidental pregnancy, condoms are not reliable mode of contraception. I- pill is an emergency contraceptive and must be used judiciously. Its better to resort to more efficient modes of contraception like OCPills (if you want to delay 1st pregnancy, or intrauterine contraceptive devices like multiload or Copper T (if you want spacing between two pregnancies. Hormonal injections like DMPA and implants are other equally reliable options. As far as torn condom is concerned, chances of pregnancy depend on the fertile period. If your wife is in fertile period you may opt for I-Pill, but don't make it a habit as I-pill can hv serious side effects.
