Hi lybrate-user, Sorry to hear about that. But try to be clear if its pain in your neck or in the back of your head. Sometimes there are both at the same time, and it can be due to what I called cervical spondylosis- referring to arthritic changes in you cervical vertebrae. Sometimes with this, the nerves coming out of your cervical spinal cord and going to your arm can also get pinched causing pain in the arm and tingling in fingers. Posture and lifestyle changes are important- avoid bending twisting of neck and carrying/ lifting heavy things. Physician therapy for neck can be very helpful. MRI C spine can diagnose it well. Best,
