I am 44 age male .my testosterone level is found 30 days back lab report. Level found 227 .i have low sex drive. Also I am thyroid patient present 30 days back lab reports says TSh level is 12 I am taking 100 mcg elthroxyne .this was diagnosed by thyrocare by lybrate for low testorine pls suggest.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Your testosterone level is margnally low. There may not be any need for supplementation, unlees there are any specific symptoms. As regards hypothyroidism, if you are on Thyroxine 100 mcg and if it is well controlled TSH should be between 3 to 4 mU/L. If that is not achieved then most of the symptoms of hypothyroidism will be back. So it is essential to check TSH level after 6 to 8 weeks of treatment with thyroxine. If level has come to above mentioned, then continue the same dose. If not then dose needs to be increased. Thanks.
