Hi all. Am 8 weeks pregnant now. My lmp on 4th feb 2017 and ovulated on 20th feb. My menstrual cycle was irregular and by using come50 mg tablet I conceived. On 3rd apr I went for my 1st ultrasound but doc said that the fetal pole and yolk sac are not seen. Gestational sac measures 18 mm now and it showing 6 weeks growth only. So they told me to come after 2 weeks for scan. Is this normal. Am worrying alot. please help me.

It can be because sometimes there is delayed conception and so the weeks are showing less in scan, to confirm please go ahead for repeat scan after 2 weeks, avoid stress and just relax, start folic acid supplements and also avoid sex in this duration for another 4 weeks.

you ovulated during the last week of cycle conception has taken place not during middle of cycle as expected this explains why you are showing 6 weeks at 8 weeks. many women get doubts if heart beat is not seen at 6 weeks and this is common. do get ultrasound done around next week and fetal heart beat will be seen and if absent, at 8 weeks it's confirmed that the baby is not growing good luck
