Gout is curable, you can take medication prescribed by your doctor for this. This may included medications like pain killers/ steroids/ colchicine for acute attack and control of uric acid levels in blood by tablets like allopurinol, febuxostat etc.
It is better to see a doctor who can prescribe you the appropriate medication based on your symptoms and blood uric acid levels.

1. Is he already on any uric acid lowering agents? Like allopurinol/febuxostat
2. Is he is having recurrent flares - ideally uric acid loweing drugs should be stopped and he must take colchicine/indomethacine for pain relief. 3. After acute flare is resolved, uric acid lowering agents can be restarted
gout is most commonly due to metabolic syndrome and dies need correction of metabolic abnormalities with medications
in case of assistance with treatment, msg me his reports of Lybrate.

Thank you for the query. Uric acid is produced in our body by the metabolism of protein (purine to be specific). Increased uric acid may occur either due to increased production or decreased excretion. You may be a poor excretor. Usually, if patient is asymptomatic (for eg. No history of joint pain/gout), medications are not given. The normal uric acid level for men is preferably between 3.5-7 mg% (it may vary between laboratories). I would suggest you to continue with your dietary protein and a...more

Hello thanks for reaching out.
Your uric acid levels are pretty high, leading to joint pain. Taking uric acid lowering drugs during an acute attack can sometimes lead to increased pain in joints. You instead require anti inflammatory medications, cox 2 inhibitor and colchicine can help. Feel at liberty to contact for a personalised consultation and detailed evaluation.
Important precaution: reduce protein intake in diet. Completely cut out on alcohol and non vegetarian diet.

Please check your serum uric acid levels. Your symptoms are of hyperuricemia.
Hyperuricemia occurs when there’s too much uric acid in your blood. High uric acid levels can lead to several diseases, including a painful type of arthritis called gout. Hyperuricemia diet
certain dietary changes may help decrease the level of uric acid in your blood. If your hyperuricemia is tied to gout, dietary changes may lower your risk of gout attack and slow the progression of any joint damage.

Most men with normal kidney function have approximately 0.6 to 1.2 milligrams/deciliters (mg/dl) of creatinine. Normal uric acid levels are 2.4-6.0 mg/dl (female) and 3.4-7.0 mg/dl (male) as you can see you have a slightly elevated uric acid level which is causing the swelling of feet and angel if you have an elevated blood uric acid level, and your healthcare provider thinks that you may be at risk for gout, kidney stones, try to eat a low purine diet. Its good that you brush twice but even brushing multiple times will not remove the causative agents once they are adhered to tooth surface (tartar, plaque, calculus). So you visit a dentist and get ultrasonic scaling and polishing done (remember it has no substitute, no home remedies, learn proper brushing technique by the dentist, use Listerine mouthwash twice daily. Clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner on daily basis. See the best results afterwards. I assumed that you are not taking any ant...more
