Mr. Lybrate-user, to reduce blood sugar levels, apart from appropriate medication, exercise and diet control are equally important. So you have exercise daily for at least 1 hour, brisk walk is a good option. Plus diet should be restricted to give exact calories based on sugar levels, daily exercise and ideal body weight.

Mr. Lybrate-user singh, your blood sugar levels both fasting and pp are with in the normal range. Nothing to worry. Keep checking once a year. Continue to be active like walking for 1 hour a day and taking a healthy balanced diet. Thanks for the question.

Fasting blood sugar usually lower than pp but in diabetic patient pp blood sugar some times comes low which means either anti diabetic medicines/insulin dose is more or food intake is less.

You should try to intensify life style modifications. Take balanced diet with ample green leafy vegetables. Take whole grain cereals. Avoid high glycemic index foods like white bread, potato and sugary foods.
Exercise at least half an hour daily. After that if your ppbs is not going down or is going up, medicines should be considered. Also get your fasting blood sugar and hba1c checked. It will help in guiding the management in a better way.
