Dear Lybrate user, a "cough" lasting for more than month, usually means either infection of lower respiratory tract or allergy.
Kindly contact an experienced pediatrician for diagnosis of cause of cough. Levolin (salbutamol) inhaler can be used as advised in sos situations but it cannot be a treatment medicine.
Meanwhile please avoid sudden temperature changes, pollution.
Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.

Dear lybrate user, inhalation route of drug administration is very effective with minimal side effects when compared with oral/tablet mode of medication. Majority of asthma patients uses two types of drugs. Drugs which dilates airway (broncho dilators like salbutamol) & inflammation stoppers (steroids like budesonide). Side effects are very minimal. If you r using a steroid please wash your mouth with water after inhalation of the drug.
