I am normal healthy male 42.I have a breathing problem. In the middle of the night I wake up with shortness in breathing.It does not occur frequently.Also sometimes I feel that I have to force to take breath.What is the remedy? I have acid reflux problem.Is that the reason?

Acid reflux may have symptoms like this but two important things has to be ruled out. One underlying cardiac problem and another one asthma. Meanwhile you may try pantoprazole for acid reflux. Take salbutamol inhaler during the episode. If you get relief in few seconds this may be asthma. Best wishes
