Ondet 4 MG Injection belongs to the antiemetics drug group which is used to treat nausea as well as vomiting, caused by surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. This medication blocks the chemical serotonin from releasing in your gut and your central nervous system. This medication comes in an IV (intravenous) form that can be injected to your body. Ondet 4 MG Injection is also available in four other forms i.e. tablet, disintegrating (dissolving) tablet, solution and film. You can take it with food or without food.

If you are allergic to Ondet 4 MG Injection and other medications that block serotonin, along with other allergies, you must visit a doctor. The doctor must also know about the medical history of yours that whether you had problems such as liver disease, irregular heartbeat and stomach or intestinal problems in the past. If you are undergoing treatment for depression or any psychiatric disorder, you must discuss it with your doctor.

The dosage of this medication will depend on your medical condition and how your body is responding to the therapy. In children, the dose depends on their weight and height. If the patient is undergoing chemotherapy, he must take Ondet 4 MG Injection 30 minutes before the treatment starts. In case of radiation, take this medication 1-2 hours before the treatment. Overdose of this medication can lead to severe constipation, faint spells or feeling light-headed.

    Ondet 4 MG Injection is primarily excreted in urine and it remains effective for a duration of 12 to 28 hours.
  • What is the onset of action?

    Ondet 4 MG Injection shows its peak effect within 30 minutes after being administered in the body.
  • Are there any pregnancy warnings?

    Pregnant women should avoid using this medication unless extremely necessary. Doctor consultation is mandatory before using this medication.
  • Is it habit forming?

    No, it does not contain habit-forming tendencies.
  • Are there any breast-feeding warnings?

    Ondet 4 MG Injection should not be consumed by breastfeeding women. You must consult your doctor to discuss the risks associated with it.
