You are on suboptimal prophylactic dosage of medicines, possibly you are experiencing subsyndromal affective symptoms. Medicines need to be titrated in you which is possible only with consultation. Moreover you need to learn chronological and behavioral aspect of disorder in order to sustain normal mood state. This is an important aspect of bipolar disorder which if taken care along with medicines makes excellent outcome.
