Maxopime 500 MG Injection

Maxopime 500 MG Injection

Manufacturer: Parenteral Drugs (India) Ltd
Medicine composition: Cefipime
Prescription vs.OTC: Prescription by Doctor required

Maxopime 500 MG Injection is used for treating certain bacterial infections that include pneumonia and skin, kidney as well as urinary tract infections. It can be combined with other medications for treating infections in the abdominal area. Belonging to the drug group known as cephalosporin antibiotics, Maxopime 500 MG Injection is also used in treating patients with high fever having a greater risk of an infection, due to the low white blood cell count. The medication kills the bacteria, thus preventing the infection from spreading in the body. It is administered by an injection into a vein or a muscle, as instructed by your doctor. It is available in powder form that can be mixed with liquid and also in a pre-mixed liquid form.

The dosage of Maxopime 500 MG Injection depends on your overall health condition, the infection you are suffering from and your body?s reaction to the first dose. In case you are taking this medication at home, ensure that you have complete knowledge regarding the preparation and usage. Continue using it till the time you have been prescribed by the doctor, even if you feel that you are getting better. Stopping it abruptly in the middle of the course can result in the returning of the infection. Also, do not take two doses to make up if you have missed a dose previously.

Maxopime 500 MG Injection may have some side effects like headache, diarrhea and pain, redness or swelling in the area where it has been injected. You can wait for the symptoms to go away or consult your doctor if it bothers you. In case of the following serious side effects, seek medical help at once:

  • Rashes
  • Difficulty in swallowing and breathing
  • Seizures, confusion or hallucinations
  • Signs of liver problem like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite

Dear lybrate-user A few suggestions to help your Father feel better. Apply turmeric in ghee on lips to keep them soft and clear the infection in natural way. Add coconut oil in his diet. About 2 big spoons. This will help reduce the heat caused from meds. Help soften bowel movement and also keep his digestion proper. Make sure he has every opportunity to interact with other people his age and walk as much as he can. Keeping the mind engaged will help his health at all levels. Regulate his diet such that he had adequate vegetables and fruit. Usually older people eat only rice or soft carbs and this is not enough. Replace all wheat foods with jowari or other mullets of your choice. This will improve health (for every body) in a great way. Regards.

See a good neurologist. First thing would be to rule out other causes for the pain especially the tongue pain. Second, There are other medications for a small fiber neuropathy which is what your father seems to have. Some of them e.g. Duloxetine may help your father.

This seems to be slip disc problem. X ray will not reveal any problem. You must have to do mri scan to diagnose it. But first use a ls corset and undergo some sessions of physiotherapy. Avoid bending forward, contenues sitting and weight lifting.
