No medicine should not be give 100 percent safe! don't be completely depends on (medication). Please improves your d3 levels, iron, magnesium, zinc, phosphorous, b complex, etc, please concentrate your diet. Compulsory change your diatory habits. Please take" immune boosters" alond with your diet. Please consult nutritionist and take advice and precautions.

Glucosamine is a type of amino acid (a building block of protein) which is present in all the supplement. So according to me you do not need to take extra.

I have not seen your MRI . If a cartilage charting shows there is a defect on the cartilage then an arthroscopy is better to treat that defect. Depending on the size of the defect the treatment is biased. The pain is only immediate. If a definite defect is there then it needs to be treated otherwise will lead to early osteoarthritis

Literature says it's not more than Placebo.
Rather you can try home made bone broth which gives vital amino Acids and Collagen peptide, Collagen peptide is more helpful in soothing joint pain.
MSM may give some relief in mild pain.
Curcumin is proven to be more effective in pain relief.
Astaxanthin is more effective.
Omega 3 fatty acids more than 1000 mg a day is more effective.

Glucosamine as per recent research has not been shown to help in osteoarthritis. Please meet a rheumatologist in Command hospital, Pune for better treatment for your osteoarthritis
