Grisovin Fp 500 MG Tablet
Grisovin Fp 500 MG Tablet is an antifungal medication used to cure fungal infections of the hair, skin and nails. Grisovin Fp 500 MG Tablet works by not only preventing the fungal infection from spreading to new cells but also arrests the infection causing fungus from multiplying.
The common side effects that come with taking this drug include skin rashes, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, dizziness, clouded thoughts, headache, signs of insomnia and numbness in various parts of the body. If these effects keep on persisting with no signs of leaving, then seek help from your doctor immediately.
This drug can cause serious effects which can prove to be fatal in the long run. These serious reactions comprise of swelling, fever, blisters, marked decrease in appetite, joint pain and constant feelings of fatigue. Should such an instance occur seek help immediately.
Certain conditions under which it is advised that you should refrain from taking this drug, if you have or are:
- Allergic to the medication.
- A history of porphyria or liver failure.
- A history of lupus.
- Pregnant, are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

- Ensure not to conceive while you are taking this drug and also for at least six months after stopping it.

The recommended dose for adults ranges between 500-1000 mg every day. Children are prescribed a low-power dose of about 125 mg depending on the height, weight and overall health. Make sure to take this drug only after you have had some food whether it is your full-fledged meal or a light snack.
Food substance in your stomach helps to absorb this drug better. In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as you recall it. If it is too late and already time for your next dose, do not overdose, skip the previous missed one entirely. In case of an instance of drug overdose contact your physician right away.
Take as directed; around-the-clock with food. Take full course of medication; do not discontinue without notifying your prescriber. Avoid alcohol while taking this drug (disulfiram reactions). Symptoms of overdose include lethargy, vertigo, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Practice good hygiene measures to prevent reinfection. Frequent blood tests may be required with prolonged therapy. Report skin rash, respiratory difficulty, CNS changes (confusion, dizziness, acute headache), changes in color of stool or urine, white plaques in mouth, or worsening of condition.
