Passing hard stools may cause anal fissure that is small cut in anal skin, which leads to burning or itching and blood in stools. To avoid constipation drink plenty of water 3-4liters / day, take high fiber diet and do physical activity. To treat constipation, you have to take laxatives till fissure heals.

General Surgeon•Mumbai
It is leats better to get an anal fissure checked. It could be some other disease, and many terms referring to diseases in that region are misused.
Treatment plan for anal fissures vary, based on the history and findings. I suggest you meet a surgeon, discuss the options in detail, and choose what is best for you.
