My son taking schizophrenia treatment from a psychiatrist Doct. Whether he needs counselling apart from medicines. We need counseling to my son at residences in Hyderabad. Please give details of addresses to whom I contact, out side he is not coming says he don't have problem.

Dear lybrate-user, Gautham needs counselling if he is confused and wants to solve the problems he has has. He does not accept that he has a problem. So what will the counsellor counsel for? Please continue to give him tablets. At one stage, he will say he is overweight or sleepy. Then request someone to make home visit to counsel him - a psychiatric nurse or clinical psychologist or psychiatric social worker will counsel him. But unfortunately they are very few at Hyderabad. So you have request a psychiatrist nearby to visit him.
