The daily limit for all kinds of oils is 5 teaspoons. Within this you can have combination of Ghee / Mustard / Groundnut / Sunflower etc. Anything beyond this will add to your weight. Ayurveda also says to have 'Sattvic' Food which means simple, non-oily, non-sugary, unprocessed fruits, vegetables and cereals. 'Sattvic' food also means eating limited food and not overeating. The problem these days, is that people indulge in all types of modern overeating/junk food and then pick up one line from Ayurveda and want to apply that. That is where the problem occurs. It is best to keep food simple. Less oily. Less spicy. Less sugars. More natural.
