When to use and how to use the contraceptive pill I pill or unwanted 72 to prevent pregnancy and for how many days it has to use whether daily or only once after unprotected sex? Please use condom during sex as unwanted 72 and i-pill are for emergency contraception only. It should be taken within 3 days of unprotected intercourse .or as soon as possible after an unprotected intercourse.

Unwanted 72 is a one time emergency pill to be taken within 72 hrs of unprotected sex, it prevents pregnancy but can cause irregular peroods. So a better way of protection is to take low dose combination pills throughout 25 days of month which is safer and causes regular periods
