Never heard about coffee causing heart attack! but coffee is a stimulant which if taken more frequently can disturb your sleep and general wellbeing (the effects varies from person to person and can be addictive.)

Coffee alone cannot cause heart attacks. But high dose of caffeine can predispose the heart to arrythmias which are irregularities in the beating of the heart and a person may even die. So coffee in large amounts is very toxic to the heart.
