Wheezing is obstructive airway problem where normally there is constriction or inflammation of inner layer of air tubes like bronchus, bronchioles or respiratory alveoli normally referred to as bronchial asthma caused by allergy, post nasal drip etc. Can be treated by identifying specific causative agent called'trigger' and avoiding it whenever possible, medications like tablets and in sever cases iv injections. Metered dose inhalers or rotahalers are very effective and useful. Nasal defect if any detected by ent specialist should be rectified.
