Sir, This is about my sister. She is in 10th standard and never behave properly with any member of the family. She live in her own thoughts. Sometimes she gets irritated and also use to shouts on others.

Such rudeness, aloofness and aggression is common in children of this age. As family members you will have to handle her smartly so as not to distance her from the family. Appreciate her more often, on things she does well - the problem with us is that we criticise all the time but appreviate sparsely. Because kids this age are conscious of their looks, compliment her whenever she is nice and neatly dressed. Never ever criticise her friends, or try to tell her that her friends are spoiling her- this way you will distance her more from yourself. Take interest in she does. Spend time with her, on more occasions doing what she likes - gradually she will begin doing things you want her to do.
