Dear lybrateuser, - Olive oil consists mainly of monosaturated fats which is a heart healthy fat, this plays a role in reducing the build up of plaque (fat deposit) in the blood vessel lining which keeps the blood vessels healthy as also the heart - a person with a healthy heart doesnot carry the risk of a heart attack in future - limit intake to about one teaspoon per day.
