I had taken full 5 doses of anti rabies vaccines in september, 2021 and again 2 boosters on days 0,3, the days 3 dose taken on 28 july, 2022. How long can the protection remain if I had taken the booster within one year, in july 2022? Actually, there was a monkey sitting on my gate eating something and after 3-5 minutes I washed the gate and some of the water bounced in my eyes and face. Can I get rabies if any saliva might have fallen on the gate and got in my eyes with the water. Do I have to take vaccine again? I get very scared of rabies as a lot of monkeys and dogs are in our neighborhood. I will be grateful if someone can confirm that if only bite and scratches should cause worry or such incidents also need vaccination.
