It depends as to what the psychological problem is and how severe it is. Usually there is a course of medication and you need to complete the course to avoid relapse, otherwise symtpoms will reappear with greater intensity.

Hi if you take psychological medicine you can stop it. You cannot stop abruptly, it is to be tapered down properly.
