Yes it can happen if the extraction was a little traumatic. I would advise you to get a x-ray done to rule out any infection with the premolar and also evaluate the healing of socket. I would advise you to maintain good oral hygiene and rinse your mouth with warm salt water 3- 4 times a day to keep the extraction site free of food debris.
