Effective interventions to prevent late pregnancy complications (preeclampsia, small baby) in women with abnormal early pregnancy uterine artery doppler studies (like notch) are not available till now. Until such time as these are available, routine uterine artery doppler screening of women considered at low risk is not recommended. It should not have been done in the first place.
