My son who is turning 14 is not showing any signs of puberty. He is very short. My husband is also short and his height is only 164 cm and I am 165 cm. I have seen so many short guys whose kids are very tall. How is it happening .my son is only 152 fm at this age. How much his height wud be in future. His thyroid levels are all normal. I am worried abt him. He is shortest in the class. Pls help.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. It's not uncommon for girls and boys to develop as late as 13, 14 or 15. But if your child hasn't yet shown the signs of puberty by age 14 for girls or 15 for boys, delayed puberty could be to blame. Keep in mind that delayed puberty is nothing to be overly concerned about. Everyone develops differently.
