As I had already informed, the patient is not asymptomatic, rather he just recovered from covid-19 and is still under home quarantine after being discharged from the hospital. He still is feeling very tired and experiencing fatigue. Original question as under one of my relatives who has recovered from covid-19. Post the recovery his blood samples were tested. All parameters are within the normal range except the following. Ferritin = 909.82 reactive protein = 1.25 gamma gt = 198. What are the repercussions of these high values, please advise.

Firstly regarding the fatigue - covid-19 takes a toll on the body as the virus forces the body to create it's copies and the body has to work overtime to battle it. Also the lungs being the major battleground, suffers from the fallout and various portions of the lungs my be rendered useless; so some tiredness and breathlessness is expected. As for the ferritin value being high, it would have been a matter of concern; but as per latest guidelines; ferritin is no longer considered as a parameter in covid - 19. Gamma globulin transaminase is generally an indicator of liver and occasionally kidney damage and not related to covid-19 directly as per guidelines. If the patient is still facing some issues, appropriate additional investigations can be done and in case of any red flags, managed accordingly over a one-to-one consult.
