Hi sir ,my parents got vaccinated by 1st dose. But no effects are visible like fever n ol. But I don't want to be them vaccinated for 2nd dose of covishield as I saw many cases person is effected after 2nd dose. Is it really a need to vaccinated for 2nd? Or if I want to vaccine them by covaxin for 2nd dose is it possible bcz 1st dose is covishield. My mom is thyroid and b p patient also. Please advise.

Good evening taking covaxin vaccine after covishield is ok to have. Its ok to take covaxin as a 2nd dose after 1st dose covishield. Because one vaccine will not protect you completely against all form of corona virus. Thank you.

It is absolutely not advisable to skip the second dose if there was no side effects after the first one. It is advised to keep a close watch for any side effects, in which case please visit the nearest hospital immediately as they are manageable in most of the cases. Please do not switch vaccine choice - either take 2 doses of covishield or 2 doses of covaxin. If mixed up, there are higher chances of side effects.
