I have gone impacted wisdom tooth extraction that is third molar teeth my surgery was on 02 oct 2020 which is almost 25 days have been completed but i'm feeling numbness and tingling sensation on my tongue I consulted with my surgeon he told me everything is ok and would is healing but i'm feeling very discomfort with this he also told that your tongue takes 3 months to get fully recover but he doesn't told me the reason so please let me know what is the cause of tongue numbness n tingling sensation on tongue also let me know the exact time of recover please advise something so that I get rid of this. Will any complications will occurs or will numbness and tingling will subside with it's own please suggest me.

That produce this tingling sensation. It's a normal response that some people experience after wisdom tooth extraction treatment. As your dentist said it takes around three months. It might be a mild case of nerve paresthesia, this will last for a few days to weeks and you will be alright. There not much to worry about. Only for a very small number of people does the condition becomes permanent.
