The symptoms described by you are suggestive that you have an eye allergy. Recurrent itching (not continuous) may occur seasonally or throughout the year. It may/ may not be associated with other allergies. The best treatment for allergy is eye hygiene. It should be remembered as a rule not to rub the eyes with fingers. Doing so transmits a lot of dust and bacteria in the eye. Please avoid it. Also, another good idea would be clean your hands with soap and water and subsequently splash your eyes with clean water (may be done thrice daily). This will help in getting rid of your allergic symptoms. If the itching persists, it would be a wise idea to consult an eye specialist personally and get the eyes checkd in detail. Hope my suggestions help you. Take care.
