Im 20. I had this drying peeling skin around and on my lips for four months now. It started with and itch and then became tiny bumps then it hardens and the peeling starts from there. I did not have that much issue just that when it peels it burns the next day. And its always happens. Theres never a day it stopped. So a few days ago I went to go get it checked. The doctor told me its herpes. I heard herpes are usually passed on through sexual contact. Ive never been in a relationship/ share bottles or cutleries with anyone since im grossed out by saliva. So I really do not know how I got it. The doctor prescribed me with acyclovir cream and tablet. Ever since I put the cream on my lips, it itches so bad and my lips has become very dry and flaky. The skin around my lips are hardening. I can barely smile or eat without it hurting. Before I went to the doctors I saw that there were bumps around my lips nearing my nose and my chin. Now it has been 2 days and a half since I went to the doctors and the bumps are still there and the itching does not stop. What do I do? Thank you for your time.
