I'm a 21 year old female. I had a root canal done 4 years ago and it seems to be painful now. The pain is pretty severe. I cannot eat or chew anything one the side where I have this tooth. Please help. I'd like to know what might be the reasons and what needs to be done.

Good morning thanks for the query as per your words you have pain in previously treated tooth. Did you have cap/crown on the tooth after rct? If yes ,than their might be reinfection in that tooth which requires removal of cap and re rct. If no, tooth might be fractured ,need to be removed as per fracture line or its infected and needs re rct. Visit your dentist ,go for a x ray and act accordingly.
