My father is 83 years of age and he is diagnosed with asteatotic eczema doctor has prescribed him cetaphil dam lotion, tenovate cream and tab xyzal (5 mg) could you please tell me whether cetaphil dam lotion and tenovate cream have to be applied together on the affected skin or have to be applied after some time gap if one is suffering from asteatotic eczema also, can coconut oil or vaseline (petroleum based) be applied/used on the affected skin after shower?

Hello this condition is common in older age group people. You can apply the lotion/vaseline or oil few minutes after the shower when the skin is still damp. As for tenovate apply only on the affected area mixed with the lotion or oil only at night time. Do not over use the tenovate.
