My son aged 7 years got red patches on both eyelid. Ine is in the lower corner and the other one is on upper eyelid. We have given him vitamin a chewable tablet and tab levocet for 1 month and applied luray cream but it didn't get cured. What may be the reason and whom to consult a dermatologist or ophthalmologist. We have consulted dermatologist but didn't get any improvement.

Allergies, infections, and even crying can cause your eyelids to redden. Red eyelids may also result from trauma to the eye area. Allergies are a very common cause of red eyelids. An allergy that affects your eyelid may be local, such as an allergic reaction to eye makeup, or more generalized, such as hay fever. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and medication plan.
