Hi doctor, i?m a mother of a 6 months old and have had episiotomy stitches after birth. I?m afraid my stitches inside vagina has opened but am way more scared to see a doctor not knowing of what solution they will provide. Is there any ointment that I can use on the wound without having any side effects? Please help!

You need to mention what symptoms are you having because of which you think that your stitches are open. It's more or less not possible. Especially after 6 months. So relax. Whatever symptoms you r having can be because of some other reason. So I need details of your problem.

It's rare that stitches will open after 6 months. If you are worried, then get physical examination by a o&g specialist. Do not worry. You will be fine.
