You should use a toothpaste which has fluoride content in it.Fluoride helps in prevention from tooth decay.You should ask your dentist for application of fluoride gel in children. Its good for tooth. Fluoride free toothpaste should be avoided in places where water fluoride content is more, to avoid excess of fluoride.

Colgate has come out with several tooth pastes for kids. I think Kidodent tooth paste .Should be good till the child is old enough to brush their teeth on themselves. After which Irecommend Colgate Strong Teeth.
