My name is mattiya. I'm 20 years old female. I have been suffering from hypothyroidism and iron deficiency. I have been taking levothyroxine (50 mg) and ferrous (150 mg) from last 15 days. The only symptom is hair loss. My hairs are falling out and they're not only brittle they're also dry. I'm depressed. Just tell me whether this hair loss will be reversed or not. And which other tests should I get done to know the underlying cause. please help me.

Iron deficiency and Hypothyroidism are major causes of hair loss. Once treated your hair loss is likely to stop. Other causes of hair loss need to be ruled out. 1.Wash your scalp regularly, but don't overdo it. 2.Reduce styling and heat 3. Brush and clip gently. 4.Massage your scalp. 5.Sleep on a soft pillow 6.Reduce stress 7.Check your diet. Your hair needs protein, essential vitamins, and healthy fats to grow and stay healthy.
